Caramel Apple Cupcakes

A caramel apple cupcake

Spiced cupcakes filled with fresh apples and then garnished with caramel sauce and caramel icing is a perfect recipe to delight you. There’s nothing better than a home that smells like sweet-smelling spices while you bake.



Apple Cake:

  • 1 packet white cake mixture
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon or apple pie spice
  • 3 eggs
  • ¼ cup butter melted and cooled
  • ¼ cup apple sauce
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cup peeled and sliced apple

Caramel Buttercream:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3-4 cup powdered sugar
  • Melted caramels for drizzling


  1. Heat up an oven to 350 degrees and line pans with cupcake linings.
  2. Filter cake mix and cinnamon into a small container and keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine eggs, butter, milk, applesauce and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix it till it gets smooth.
  5. Add sliced apples.
  6. Fill cupcake linings ¾ and bake for 17-22 minutes until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  7. For cream: Whip butter for 1 minute. Add vanilla extract and caramel and continue to whisk. Gradually add powdered sugar till you reach your preferred consistency.
  8. Pipe this cream on top of cupcakes and garnish it with melted caramel.
